Sprintray Pro Platform Mag Dock

Description

This is designed for the Sprintray Pro 95, 55, 95s and 55s printers.  We will make them available in as a printed part and for download.  We would greatly prefer you purchase the STL pack, which includes all 3 files, and print them yourself.

Printed versions:

Our prints will be made in black PLA, a strong polymer.  There may be a slight gloss to the finish. As these are made to order, please allow 5 business days for printing in addition to the usual shipping time.

The magnetic horizontal version includes 3 rare earth magnets inserted into the part.  You can mount the platform in almost any orientation, but the magnets are oriented to provide the most support when the platform is horizontal.  You will need a metal surface that attracts magnets, such as a steel utility cabinet or a refrigerator.  The horizontal orientation also allows you to dock the platform with your wet prints facing up while you tend to other things.

The magnetic vertical version includes 3 rare earth magnets inserted into the part.  You can mount the platform in almost any orientation, but the magnets are oriented to provide the most support when the platform is vertical.  You will need a metal surface that attracts magnets, such as a steel utility cabinet or a refrigerator.  The vertical orientation seems to take less space.

Downloadable versions:

FDM printing is strongly recommended.  PLA, PETG or ABS will all work.   Resin would not be ideal for cost or durability.

Use 60mm x 10mm x 5mm bar magnets for the horizontal and vertical versions.  Slide them in after printing.  Be very, very careful when handling them.  These magnets will easily fly out of your hand and slam into each other.  They can and will break when that happens.  The mounts and/or the platforms may come off your wall if not properly mounted.  Use at your own risk.  We are not responsible for damage caused from use of this dock.

The screw mount versions are designed to work with #8 countersunk screws.  Drill into your studs or into wall anchor screws to ensure a secure mount.
