Sprintray Drip Jack

$5.00

A printable stand to let your models drip out excess resin back into the tank after they print.

Category:

Description

This is most handy for hollow models with drain holes.  Most of the resin will drip back the tank.  Some will end up on the sides of the platform and maybe into your lid.   This greatly reduces the amount of waste dissolved into your pro wash, prolonging the life of your alcohol.  Clean your platform after every print.  This is designed to be used on Sprintray Pro 55, Pro 55s, Pro 95 and Pro 95s printers.

WARNING: Do NOT print while letting a platform drip dry.  You WILL damage your prints, your platform, your tank, and your printer SEVERELY.  The Pro S printers can stop if they detect a missing print platform, but no pro printers can currectly detect obstructions.  They can  and will crush anything in their path, often breaking tanks, screens, and then spilling resin into the delicate internal parts of the printer.  This can be thousands in damage.  We are not responsible for any damages incurred in any relation to the use or misuse of this design.  Use at your own risk.

Remove the stand and reattach your platform before printing.  You may “park” the stand on the back edge of your tank while printing; it has been designed to stay out of the way as long as you can read the words “drip drip drip” facing forward.

Sprintray Printing instructions:

FDM printing is recommended for lower material cost and zero post processing.

FDM printers: Print this in PLA or PETG.  No need for ABS or anything fancier.  PETG will withstand the most alcohol wiping.  We recommend placing the “jaws” facing the print platform (bottom of slicer) as shown in the photos.  Pretty much any stock printer profile should work.  If you have trouble with the model sticking, try: glue, adding a brim, or laying it down on one of the narrower long sides to increase first layer adhesion.  We have printed this on our Bambu Labs X1C in PLA as pictured.

Rayware Desktop: Select base and pick the “jaws” side of the print.  You want the rectangular hole facing up.  Select nightguard flex at 170 microns and add supports.  Allow at least 30 minutes for excess resin to drip out.  (ironic, I know) Wash and post cure.  Overachievers may optionally polish until shiny.  We have NOT test printed this on our sprintray printers, but it’s a pretty forgiving design.  If you have fit issues, please contact me and I’ll issue an update.

Rayware Cloud: Select “Other Print”, choose your printer, nightguard flex resin, 170 micron layers. Import the file.  Edit orientation, Select base and pick the “jaws” side of the print.  You want the rectangular hole facing up.   Allow at least 30 minutes for excess resin to drain out.  (ironic, I know)  Wash and post cure.  Overachievers may optionally polish until shiny.  We have NOT test printed this on our sprintray printers, but it’s a pretty forgiving design.  If you have fit issues, please contact me and I’ll issue an update.
